The Color Purple

No, this is not about a deep and moving film starring Oprah Winfrey. I recent experience just causes the color purple to come to mind. Not a very exciting experience, but one that makes me think, just a little bit though.

I must first start by explaining that my bedroom in my current apartment is very small and the heater/radiator in the room does not work. Because of this, I'm forced to use a (not so) portable and slightly movable heater in my room. Said heater is fairly heavy but works very well when temperatures are in a range that is not so desirable. One of the things, though, about this heater is that for the most effect, it really pretty much must be kept in the center of the room. This complicates matters of navigating the room.

While digging around for things in my room the other day, I accidentally tripped over part of the heater or the cord for the heater, I really don't know which. As a result, there was a fairly audible russle in my room as I fell to the floor, which is currently covered with many small and annoying things with no better place to put them. The result now is that four of my five toes on my right foot are currently showing a varied range of shades of purple from the resulting bruises. Somewhat uncomfortable to deal with, time will tell how long it may be before I'm able to ride my bike again. That's really the unfortunate result of the accident. After all, my life pretty much revolves around all things bike.
